She “worked” for five years as a restaurant critic and has been a reviewer for the bible of food The Good Food Guide, as well as contributing to a host of other foodie publications. When not at her laptop, Lucie loves going for a swim in the (usually freezing) sea and climbing the odd mountain.
I find creating stories with words and images is addictive—it’s the craftsmanship of finding the right word or turn of phrase, what to keep and what to ditch and getting the grammar spot-on. It’s also the magic of making something new for others to enjoy. I love a deadline, and creative problem-solving with a bunch of other talented individuals, well, there’s nothing better.
